EPA Section 608 On-site Training
It's the law!
Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques. The EPA has also placed a sales restriction on refrigerants, limiting the sale of regulated refrigerants to certified technicians only. Technicians who violate the Clean Air Act provisions may be fined, lose their certification, and may be required to appear in Federal court.
If an employer does not have this certification on file, they are subject to heavy fines (max $27,500) as well as the employee who does not have this specific certification. Any required Local, State or Industry licenses do not eliminate the requirement for EPA 608 Technician Certification if you work on refrigerant containing equipment.
Persons who work on stationary equipment or use refrigerant designed for these systems can become certified by passing a proctored Section 608 examination. Candidates for this test can be certified in any of three equipment categories plus Universal.

Examinations are score within 3 to 7 business days. Results page and certification card (if applicable) will be mailed to student.

Online testing allows the students to take the exam online and receive instant test results. Results page and certification card (if applicable) will be mailed to student.
EPA Section 608 on-site training

Our on-site training are available for private training for teams of six or larger, tailored to your needs and schedule.
Our EPA Section 608 on-site training includes Preparatory Course + Preparatory Manual + Proctored Examination
Our two to four day seminars are intended to prepare technicians for the certification test and covers all the information your technicians will require to successfully complete the test for Certification and includes the EPA 12-page preparatory manual, review class and practice test so your technicians can pass on their first try!
These intensive, interactive live training sessions are usually 5 hours in length.
EPA Section 608 Certification Training is for the Preparatory Course, preparatory manual and participation in the EPA Section 608 online PROCTORED examination.
Once the Online examination is complete, students will gain immediate access to their results. Official certification documents will be mailed from the processing center the next business day.
