Apartment Maintenance Technician Program.


Our Apartment Maintenance Technician Program will turn your skills into opportunities through credential training as a Maintenance Technician plus EPA Section 608 Certification.

Prepare for an entry-level position in the apartment maintenance industry. In this series of courses, students learn about the apartment business, electrical, appliance maintenance and repair, HVAC, plumbing, and maintenance and repair of the interior and exterior of apartment properties. These skills are used in a wide variety of apartment, building and facilities maintenance and repair careers.

Classes run between 4 and 6 weeks depending on evening/weekend versus daytime schedule. The program is offered multiple times each year.

A High School Diploma or the equivalent GED is desirable but is not an entrance requirement. However all applicants must have graduated from High School or completed the GED requirements prior to graduation from the program.

Applying to the Apartment Maintenance Training Program is accomplished through two simple steps:
I. Submit a completed application for admission.
II. Pay a $25 non refundable application fee.



CAM Training Apartment Maintenance Technician Program includes training and testing for Federal EPA section 608 certification at no extra charge. The test is administered at the end of the program. Because your certification is through the EPA, a Federal Agency of the US Government, your certification is valid in all 50 states and Canada.

It's the law!

Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques. The EPA has also placed a sales restriction on refrigerants, limiting the sale of regulated refrigerants to certified technicians only. Technicians who violate the Clean Air Act provisions may be fined, lose their certification, and may be required to appear in Federal court.Click Here to Learn More
